Gold Coast Gunslingers - Gold Coast Gunslingers - SASS Cowboy Action Shooting - Florida

Welcome to the home of
The Gold Coast Gunslingers!

Cowboy Action Shooting™ (CAS) is the fastest growing shooting sport in the country.  CAS continues to attract new shooters even though it has been around for a long time. Inspired by the movie “The Wild Bunch”, a group of shooters in California began shooting “cowboy style” on a regular basis in the 1970’s.   The idea continued to spread and grow.  The result was the formation of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), the original and largest of the Cowboy Action organizations today with over 110,000 members.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the days of the old Wild West… dressing up in your finest Cowboy duds, strapping on your leather, and runnin’ the bad guys out of town... six-shooters a blazing? Well wonder no more!  Join in the fun at our next shoot. 'Lookers' are more than welcome so if you’ve got the hankerin’, come on out and watch!  It’s fun that the entire family can enjoy.  If you’d like to give Cowboy Action Shooting a try, you’ll find that we’re a friendly bunch of folk and we’ll be more than happy to show you the ropes and get you started.  See you at the next match!!

Congrats to the November
Main Match Winner!

The next match will be held on
Saturday, December 3rd at Markham Park

   RO I Class
Amaduelist will be giving an RO I class on Sunday, November 27th.  GW McLintock has volunteered his home in Plantation for the class at 12041 NW 24 Street. The class will begin at 8:30 am (please arrive between 8-8:30) and will be 5-6 hours in length.  If you are interested, please send an email to GW or call him at 786-256-9542. Photo Inclusion and Update
We are in the process of adding new (and updating old) photos on the corral roster section of this site.  If you are a GCGS member and would like to update your picture, please send one that you may already have to the webmaster.  Alternatively, at the next match, request that a photo be taken in your cowboy getup.  It’s a great way for our family of shooters to know "who’s who" when we meet at the range for our matches.
Thank you!  Jump to the Corral page.

 Next Board Meeting
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, December 21st at 7:00 PM at the Courtyard Marriott in Weston.  Many of us get there at 6-ish for some nibbles.  Come join us and see what your club is up to!  Click here for the Courtyard Marriott Google map.
